The Cosmopolites Business & Professional Women's Club will host a "Black & Whitc Ball" for the Fort Wayne Community on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 6:00 pm at the Ceruti's Bergstaff Place located at 2020 E. Washington Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46803.

Cosmopolites was founded on November 7, 1957, by ten (10) progressive women. These women represented diversity of geographic areas and backgrounds. They desired to form a strong network of professional women who would work to promote social, educational, and civic responsibilities in the Fort Wayne community.

Today, Cosmopolites Business and Professional Women's Club continues to stretch its service wings addressing education, cultural and social development, and health initiatives in the Fort Wayne area. An abbreviated listing of the Cosmopolites Club service initiatives include:

Support for Read Across America — provide community outreach for improving literacy

Donated items and visitations to support residents at local nursing facility

Volunteer / Support for Habitat for Humanity on local build Sponsorship of St. Joseph Mission Women's Shelter

Sponsorship of Solid Foundation Learning Center Sponsorship of a youth for an Olympic Trial Team Donated personal hygiene items to the FWCS "Back to School Celebration" program.

Sponsored "Tin Caps" tickets to students in the Fort Wayne Boys & Girls Club Monetary donation to a FWCS Jazz Band

Scholarship of $1,600 per year for four (4) years awarded to local high school graduates Support given to - Fort Wayne Urban League, Inc.

Support given to - Fort Wayne Philharmonic Club Kids-O Support given to - Victim Assistance Fort Wayne Police Department Mentorship with Smart Girls & Torch Club at the Fort Wayne Boys and Girls Club

Yearly assistance provided to selected families at Christmas Stipends to college students for books Yes, Cosmopolites Business & Professional Women's Club continues to be a significant thread woven tightly in the fabric of the Fort Wayne community and we will continue to work at changing the lives of individuals and families in the Fort Wayne community for many years to come.
