Essay Contest
Thank you to all who attended and supported our 4th annual essay contest which took place Tuesday, April 16 at the Main Library in the Theatre.
At the event put on by the Ink Spot staff, this year's keynote Jessica Williams of Living Local 15 did not disappoint with a talk centered on media and violence. This year's topic for students was, “Do movies, video games, television and/or music promote violence in our youth?” Williams background and experience in media allowed her to speak intelligently on the topic with her vast experiences in media.
Congrats to this year’s essay contest winners and all participants! We had a record high number of youth participate this year!
The winners' essays will be featured in the next several papers!
Winners received cash prizes and participants received gift cards.
