How to Find a Healthier You: The Power of NOW… Never Over Weighted
Let me start this article by saying I’m not referring to physical weight, but emotional and mental weight. Sometimes when the words over weighted appears in articles or are used in conversations, immediately defenses are raised. That’s why I want to address right away that I’m not referring to physical weight when I use the phrase, NEVER OVER WEIGHTED.
In my profession, weight loss is a constant conversation. I understand the defensive reaction. But if I can draw your attention to the mental and emotional state of humans today, we can all agree encouragement is needed.
We can all say that we are in some of the most unprecedented times on this earth. We are familiar with or used to natural disasters such as extreme drought, forest fires, tornadoes, or hurricanes, which affect some of t he population either directly or indirectly. But this right here, the effects of the COVID-19, has touched everything and everyone on the face of the earth in one way or another. WOW!
This clearly shows me that no matter our race, opinion, or what side of the tracks we are from, we are all the same. We all still breathe through our nose, see with our eyes, love from the heart, and we have a purpose. Best said we’re no better or less than one another! We can live life more efficiently and successfully with each other.
So NOW, take this moment, this season, this day, to rid your mind of negativity, destruction, hate, loneliness, depression, lack, failure, and unforgiveness. Don’t allow these thoughts to weigh you down.
Our bodies were not designed to carry those things. When we open our bodies up to such heavy and unbearable weights, we are causing a slow death. So decide NOW - NEVER OVER WEIGHTED!
We will get through these tough times. Let’s do it together. Let’s help where we can help. If it’s a prayer, social distancing, a call, a text, a card/letter in the mail, a post, or a grocery drop off, it will make a difference.
As I close, here’s advice from the CDC and WHO (World and Health Organization). Both recommend daily exercise, eating healthy, getting good sleep, and staying hydrated as key components to a healthy immune system. As a fitness and wellness professional, I agree. With that being said, please let me know how I can help you!
For immediate release of weightiness, I recommend this scripture, Psalms 91:1-16.
