Zeta Phi Beta Announces Annual Scholarship Winners

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Eta Upsilon Zeta Chapter proudly announces the 2020 Memorial Scholarship and Book Stipend Winners. Due to COVID-19 the Chapter could not hold its annual scholarship event planned to celebrate the Sorority’s 100 Years of service to the community and to celebrate and acknowledge the winners graduating from high school. Below is information on the winners:
Carrine Kogulan graduated from Homestead High School and plans to attend Missouri Southern State University to major in Biology. She will receive a $500.00 scholarship.

Dakotah Poindexter graduated from Leo High School and plans to attend Indiana State University to major in Applied Medicine. She will receive a $500.00 scholarship.

Joshua Walker graduated from Snider High School and plans to attend Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis to major in Psychology. He will receive a $500.00 scholarship.

Mahogany Davis graduated from Cornerstone Prep College and plans to attend Purdue University Fort Wayne to major in Nursing. She will receive a $250.00 book stipend.

Carlisa Johnson graduated from Bishop Luers High School
and plans to attend Indiana State University to major in Pre-Law. She will receive a $250.00 book stipend.

Alyssa Seifert graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School and plans to attend Ball State University to major in Psychology. She will receive a $250.00 book stipend.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority is an international organization of college-educated women founded in 1920 at Howard University. The organization is celebrating its centennial anniversary of 100 years of service. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. founding principles are Scholarship Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood.

Renetta Williams is the President of the local chapter, Eta Upsilon Zeta which was chartered in 1971. The Chapter has made a difference in the community by providing scholarships and book stipends of over $90,000 to local graduates, presenting ongoing health and wellness seminars, mentoring/tutorial programs for youth, giving to those in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, and civic involvement through the March of Dimes, NAACP, Urban League, MLK Club, Inc., and HealthVisions of Fort Wayne, etc.
