To Grandmother’s House We Go!

Psalm most frequently mentions thankfulness in the bible. God tells us to be thankful for his goodness and everlasting loving kindness.
The national Thanksgiving holiday was first celebrated on November 26, 1941. Thanksgiving is now celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. It began as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest.
The African American legend celebrates with the traditional thanksgiving meal. We gather and give thanks through prayer and thanksgiving. Our meals typically include turkey, fried chicken, corn bread, dressing, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, cranberry sauce, yeast rolls, yams, and delicious sweet potato pie.
