Home Town Comedian Brings his 1st Live Recorded Show to the Embassy
Kam Coleman was born and raised in Fort Wayne and graduated in 2009 from Northside High School. Growing up he always felt like he was funny and people say he’s been funny his whole life.
About a year and half ago he was depressed and going through a hard time in his personal life and he started making comedy videos at work to make himself feel better. He was racking up views and likes on Facebook and many people were watching and supporting.
Eventually his job caught on and he was terminated which helped him to concentrate and focus on comedy. With over 115,000 followers on Tik Tock, Coleman is ready to record his own show in Fort Wayne.
Ink Spot: So tell me what you’ve been doing lately?
Coleman: I just got off a tour with DC Young Fly from MTVs Wild’N Out show.
We went to Indy, here in Fort Wayne at IPFW, Evansville, Southbend and Louisville.
It was such a great experience for me. I learned a lot and will apply the new concepts to my comedy.
Ink Spot: That’s awesome and great job! Tell me about the upcoming show.
Coleman: I am headlining my own comedy special at the Embassy Theatre. It will be live recorded and tickets will be about $10 each.
I want to give back to the city for all the love and support I’ve been shown over the years.
The show is on Feb 12, 2022.
Doors at 7, showtime at 8.
Ink Spot: Thanks for the details about the show! What else should people know about you?
Coleman: I am thankful for the city of Fort Wayne and my manager, Morgan Williams. We also have started a company called Illumedia along with Bigg Kess and we have been throwing events at Flashbacks a couple of times a month. Those have been going pretty well and we are looking forward to hosting some major events in 2022.
I also have to shout out Richard Phillips of Tunnel Vision for being another big supporter and helping me to make connections in the industry!
Ink Spot: Thanks for the interview! How can people get connected to you or book you?
Coleman: Here are my social media handles and people can reach out on social media or to my manager Morgan Williams.
