Can The World Live Without The Internet?

Can the world live without the internet? The world has lived without the internet before.

The internet tells us information about what we need and where we have to go. The past generation grew up without it. The new generation grew up with it. We are in the new generation now and we don’t know all the survival skills for living without the internet.

First, in the past, it would take so long in order for a message to reach the next person if they are far away. Now that we have the internet we can send a message/call someone in order to get to them quickly. We also have things like E-mail, messages, and zoom which can be great for a job interview and for school-work.

Secondly, the internet can be a great place to work from. During the global pandemic, so many people lost their jobs due to not being able to work face to face. People as well lost education. Now with the internet, we can use things like zoom in order to work/school. The source used claims, “An Internet connection provides many people with the ability to work from home or have a virtual office.” This can help so much with work and school knowing some can’t come in. This has also helped people with disabilities.

Finally, the internet gives unlimited information. The most popular search engines, Google or Yahoo, give so much information people are looking for. There are so many videos and websites that help us get information. The article states that “the Internet contains an endless supply of knowledge and information that allows you to learn about almost any topic.” This tells us that we can look up information from a website and easily learn it if you don’t have a book at hand which is super helpful. Some sources of the internet can speak back to you as well. This can help for the blind or those who cannot read.

Some may say that we lived back then without the internet. Though this may be true the new generation has only grown up with it. We do not have the same survival skills as those who have not. We rely on the internet to help with school, learning, work, and more. In conclusion, we cannot live without the internet. We can talk to others easily with the internet. We can also work from home with the internet. The internet gives unlimited opportunities and information. We grew up with the internet and shall continue to upgrade it.
