Can The World Live Without The Internet?

A lot of people might wonder how the world looked without the internet in the past and some people might wonder how the world would look without the internet today. I think if the internet never existed, we would never experience the evolution of technology. The internet contains more information than pretty much anybody could hold in their brain. There are obviously a lot of benefits that come from the internet and an example of that would be if someone were to look something up because they needed more information on something.

Though there are benefits there are also some negative things there. Fortunately, there is always someone there to protect someone from learning certain things they shouldn’t even know about at such a young age. I think that the world needs the internet because of the fact that not only would this be easier to read than some people’s handwriting but also it would be less paper being wasted. If the internet didn’t exist, you would not be reading this right now. The world would also probably have a lot less entertainment especially considering the generation we live in.

Some people would be out of a job because the internet didn’t exist. Without the internet some people wouldn’t be able to order food. That can be a problem because some people have certain circumstances where they can’t get their food through a drive thru or grocery store. Without the internet people wouldn’t have been able to do school during the pandemic. That same problem goes for anyone who goes to an online school. There would not be any apps, video games, or iPhones without internet. We also could use videos to learn certain things so we can practice those things but to watch those videos you would need the internet.

Without the internet we wouldn’t have YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat. I have another example that also gives a good reason we need the internet. I didn’t know where the location for a certain gym was so I looked it up on the internet because I wanted to go there. I could also catch up with the news if I missed it. I hope that if the internet changes it changes for the better.
