2nd Annual Unity Lighting

Unity in the Community! On Monday, November 25, 2024, the City of Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation, and the Greater Fort Wayne National Pan-Hellenic Council (GFWNPHC) hosted their 2nd annual lighting ceremony at McKinnie Commons. Daryl Flowers, GFWNPHC president, opened the program welcoming the crowd and local officials. The program which showcased local talent from the Dancing Diamonds and a holiday song by Darius Darling engaged those who attended. Free hot chocolate and a turkey basket giveaway were the highlights of the evening. Thank you to our local newscasters (21Alive, WANE 15, and WFFT) who broadcasted this special occasion. All who attended were gifted a 12-pound turkey with all the fixins.
