John Carlos at the Black Man's Think Tank When: April 7, 2018 Where: Notre Dame

The Black Man’s Think Tank, sponsored by the Notre Dame’s men’s group The Wabruda, was headlined by 1968 Olympic Bronze medalist John Carlos, whose black-gloved protest during the Mexico City games stands among the most iconic moments in sports history.
Nicole King organized a group of students to see John Carlos; Condra Ridley also attended. “He always had a powerful drive to make life better for his family and those who would come after him,” Ridley said. “His encouraging words stimulated some hearty discussion.”
The Black Man’s Think Tank, a national nonprofit, seeks to develop and support the "upliftment," cultivation, and leadership potential of Black males throughout their lives.
