Juanita Henderson, founder of Chocolate Kinks & Kurls (and FWIS contributor) participated in the nationally attended Curly Girl Picnic, hosted by Coco Bates of The Core Report, during the renowned South by Southwest (SXSW) festival.

“The Curly Girl Picnic was organized to bring about a day where black women and girls could actively practice what I call Sistership,” Henderson said. She summarizes Sistership with 3 words: Connect • Empower • Support.

“Chocolate Kinks & Kurls was honored to not only be a vendor, but also was a Featured Brand on stage with the topic "The 3 Things You Need to Reach Any Healthy Hair Goal," Henderson said.
