Brownlee’s Day When: July 21, 2018

“If we don’t support them, they’re going to close,” said Tee Cook, Events In Color (EIC) CEO and Brownlee Day’s organizer. Cook and crew hosted a special day celebrating the community service of Thomas Brownlee & Sons Market, situated as it has been since 1969, at 613 Oxford Street.
Patrons were given a screen-printed shirt, with a hot dog and a bag of chips, for any Saturday purchase at the family-owned store. Owner of Abstract Ink, Bruce Williams, an EIC entrepreneur, donated his screen-printing services for the event.
“I remember Mr. Mr. Brownlee delivering groceries to our family,” Cook said, about Thomas Brownlee’s Sr., original store owner. Brownlee Market’s long-time community presence was why Cook initiated the celebration day.
