Northeast Indiana High School Football Media Day When: July 20, 2018

43 area high school football programs, accompanied by a maximum of 10 players and coaches per team, were invited to the 2018 media day at the EXPO Center of the Memorial Coliseum, sponsored by Optimum Performance Sports (OPS), Parkview Sports Medicine, WANE-TV, and WPTA-TV.

Coaches and players, rocking game jerseys with jeans and khaki pants, were photographed and interviewed by print and digital media outlets on hand.

South Side Head Coach Roosevelt Norfleet is approaching his fifth year at the helm.

Coach Norfleet, on his team’s 2018 prospects: “The expectation of this team is to be senior led.  We got a group of [good character] seniors, most have been here since I’ve been here.  I think they are ready to lead us. Our defense is going to be our strong point; we’re going to have a special emphasis on our special teams. Our fans are ready for wins, but we have to take care of the small things before we get to the big picture on Fridays.”

The high school football season begins August 17, 2018.
