On Saturday, January 15, 2022, the Indiana State Organization (ISO) of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. will be holding its annual Founders’ Day Celebration in Fort Wayne, IN with the theme of Journey to Excellence: Heroes of Service. Hosting will be Eta Upsilon Zeta Chapter and the Fort Wayne Finer Women Society, Incorporated serving Fort Wayne / Allen County. To adapt to the current COVID levels and to be sensitive to the safety and well-being of all participants, a PIVOT to VIRTUAL is happening. Attendees from around the State will participate in the Celebration through ZOOM.
As part of the program celebration and in recognition of Service as a key principle of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., the ISO will recognize members of the community of Fort Wayne/Allen County who have been nominated for their service to others. Those recognized will be from the categories of Youth (18 years of age or younger), Adults (Male / Female ages 19-59) and Seniors (Male / Female 60 years and over).
We understand and acknowledge that there are many within the Fort Wayne/Allen County community who make a difference in the lives of others. Eta Upsilon Zeta Chapter, Fort Wayne Finer Women Society, Inc and the ISO of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc will use this opportunity to celebrate these contributions of Service. Tickets are $10 for participants aged 13 and older. Youth (12 and under) are free. Proceeds from ticket sales will be shared with a community organization. Background: Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. has provided over 100 years of service to communities internationally. The organization, founded on the campus of Howard University, was established by five undergraduate "Founders" based upon the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood. Zeta Phi Beta has chartered over 800 chapters worldwide, has many firsts within its history and has a membership of 100,000+. Zeta's international and local programs include the endowment of its National Educational Foundation, community outreach services and support of multiple affiliate organizations. Zeta chapters and auxiliaries have given un-totaled hours of voluntary service to educate the public, assist youth, provide scholarships, support organized charities, and promote legislation for social and civic change.
