Patterson All-American
Ranked as one of the top five players in the nation by ESPN, Homestead senior and future UConn wing Ayanna Patterson was invited to the McDonald’s All-American Games in Chicago, IL.
The six-foot-two 5-star prospect is one of 24 girls across the country who will play on March 29, 2022 at Wintrust Arena. She is currently a senior at Homestead Highschool.
Patterson joins the likes of Michael Jordan, Breanna Stewart and LeBron James, now etched in history as one of 1584 high school players to ever be McDonald’s All-Americans, since the first games played in 1977.
Joe Jordan Named Among Board Members by Governor
Governor Eric J. Holcomb recently announced several appointments to various state boards and commissions.
The Indiana Civic Education Commission is a new commission in which the governor made seven recent appointments:
Brad Balch (Terre Haute), dean emeritus at Indiana State University
Charles Dunlap (Fishers), president and CEO of the Indiana Bar Foundation
Adam Ferguson (Plainfield), teacher at Plainfield High School
Greg Gastineau (Fishers), teacher at Hamilton Southeastern High School
Joe Jordan (Fort Wayne), president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne
Emily Tracy (Nashville), superintendent of Brown County Schools
Phillip VanFossen (West Lafayette), director & James F. Ackerman distinguished professor of social studies education at Purdue University
Jordan was the only Fort Wayne appointment among the 50+ people named to various boards.
