The Color of Care
YWCA is excited to announce that we will be hosting a free film screening for The Color of Care on Tuesday, March 28th at Indiana Tech. Produced by Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions, the film uses moving personal testimony, expert interviews, and disturbing data to reveal the impact of racism on health, serving as an urgent warning of what must be done to save lives.
Doors open at 6:30pm and the movie starts at 6:45pm.
The Magee-O’Connor Theater at Indiana Tech (Andorfer Commons building)
Free popcorn and $2 water and sodas will be available.
There we will be a short discussion following the movie.
SHATTERING THE MYTHS in an effort toward prevention.
Please make plans to join SATURDAY, MARCH 25th @ 1pm with the youth and/or young adult(s) in your life. We will be sharing and discussing another public health crisis that is impacting our youth at record breaking numbers, including death; intentional or unintentional.
We will share and discuss the latest updates on fentanyl, tobacco/nicotine and the deadly packaging disguises of "edible" marijuana. Ms. AISHA DISS will be our guest speaker. There will also be resources available with information for alternate coping skills when dealing with life challenges.
